What are the wiring methods for external conduits of the frequency converter cabinet?

Considering that the external wiring of the frequency converter cabinet is generally done using conduit wiring, it is required to be suitable for areas with certain mechanical pressure and unsuitable for mechanical damage. It should also be moisture-proof, corrosion-resistant, and include the following two wiring methods:

  1. Metal Flexible Conduit Wiring: Metal flexible conduit wiring is suitable for connecting various electrical appliances or equipment belonging to the production machinery itself. The specifications of the conduit are determined based on the total cross-sectional area of the conductors passing through it. Connectors are installed at both ends of the flexible conduit to ensure a secure connection. During installation, the middle section should be fixed with appropriate conduit clamps, and damaged or defective conduits should not be used.

  2. Iron Conduit Wiring: When using iron conduit wiring, the following considerations should be taken into account:

    • The type and diameter of the iron conduit should be selected based on the application, cross-sectional area of the conductors, and the number of conductors, leaving 40% space inside the conduit.

    • When laying conduits, try to make the distance as short as possible with minimal bending. If bending is necessary, the bending radius should be 4 to 6 times the conduit diameter, and there should be no cracks after bending.

    • When the conduit emerges from the ground, the height above the ground should be at least 0.2 meters.

    • Conductors of the same voltage level or the same circuit can be passed through the same conduit. There should be no joints in the conduit, and repairing conductors with insulation damage inside the conduit is not allowed.

    • When laying conduits, remove any debris and moisture inside the conduit. The conduit for tooling should be laid horizontally or vertically and can be supported with conduit clamps if necessary. When threading wires through the conduit, a 1.2mm diameter wire can be used as a guide. The iron conduit should have reliable grounding and zero protection.
