Intelligent Multi-Pump VFD Controller for Constant Pressure Water Supply

AUSENIST provides intelligent multi-pump VFD control solutions for booster systems, commercial water supply, industrial pumping stations and constant-pressure water systems.

The 620 pump inverter platform can coordinate up to six pumps, using two master drives and up to four auxiliary drives.

Unlike a simple parallel pump system, AUSENIST multi-pump control includes redundancy, automatic fault bypass and timed pump rotation.

Dual-Master Backup

One of the key features is the dual-master architecture.

The system can use one main master and one backup master.

If the active master develops a communication failure, sensor problem or hardware fault, the backup master can automatically take over the control function.

This design improves water supply reliability in applications where system downtime can cause serious problems.

Automatic Failed-Pump Bypass

A multi-pump system should not stop completely because one auxiliary pump fails.

Automatic Pump Rotation

The documented default rotation interval is approximately 8 hours.

The system changes pump operating order so that running time can be distributed more evenly between pumps.

This helps extend overall pump-system service life.

Constant-Pressure Control

The inverter can automatically adjust pump speed according to water demand.

When demand increases, pump speed increases.

When demand decreases, pump speed decreases.

When demand is very low, intelligent sleep control can stop unnecessary operation.

When pressure drops again, the system can restart automatically.

The 620 platform uses PID control and intelligent sleep functions for constant-pressure water supply.

Dual RS485 Communication

The 620 series uses dual RS485 communication interfaces.

This provides the communication capability required for coordinated multi-drive operation.

For multi-pump water supply systems, communication between drives allows the controller to determine which pumps should start, stop or rotate.

Intelligent Protection

The system also includes pump-specific protection functions such as water-shortage protection, pipe-burst shutdown, high/low pressure alarms, phase-loss protection, anti-freeze and anti-rust functions.
