Application of Variable Frequency Drive in Air Compressor

I. Overview

Variable frequency air compressors are increasingly widely used in the air compressor industry due to their excellent and stable performance. The variable frequency air compressor automatically adjusts the main motor speed based on the air consumption, responds to changes in system pressure, and maintains a stable system pressure. When the system's air consumption decreases, the compressor's supply of compressed air exceeds the system consumption, and the variable frequency compressor reduces its speed while outputting the required amount of compressed air to maintain a stable system pressure. Conversely, when the system's air consumption increases, the compressor's supply of compressed air is less than the system consumption, and the variable frequency compressor increases its speed while outputting the required amount of compressed air to maintain a stable system pressure. This operating mode allows the variable frequency compressor to respond directly and quickly to changes in system pressure, providing the necessary airflow changes for the system consumption. Through this operating mode, the variable frequency compressor can maintain efficient operation between airflow output and energy consumption.

Variable frequency air compressors have the following features: arbitrary setting of pressure with constant pressure supply, energy-efficient and power-saving, safe and reliable operation, long service life, and low noise.

II. Features

Compared with regular asynchronous variable frequency air compressors, the JT500 permanent magnet air compressor variable frequency drive has the following product advantages:

  2. In terms of software, it uses PID automatic adjustment control, a closed-loop control method based on feedback from pressure sensors for calibration.
