VFD Parameter Pre-Setting for Pump Manufacturers

VFD parameter pre-setting should start from verified motor and pump data. Create one approved baseline per compatible pump package, record every changed value and verify the configuration in production. Pre-setting reduces field work only when installers can still adjust site-specific values safely.
What Information Is Required?
- Motor voltage, current, frequency, speed and type.
- Minimum and maximum pump speed.
- Acceleration, deceleration and direction.
- Sensor type, units, setpoint and PID behavior.
- Dry-run, overload, restart and communication rules.
- Settings locked for production versus adjustable on site.
Selection Example
For a constant-pressure booster, pre-set motor data and safe speed limits, then configure the intended pressure input and sleep/wake logic. Leave the site pressure target clearly documented if it must be commissioned locally.
Common Mistakes
- Copying parameters from another motor.
- Hiding site-specific assumptions.
- Changing defaults without a revision number.
- Locking settings installers must adjust.
- Verifying parameters but not pump operation.
AUSENIST Solution
AUSENIST can prepare and control basic YS620/YS820 parameter sets for approved OEM packages. Final pressure, hydraulic limits and site behavior must be commissioned on the actual system.
Send us your pump motor range, voltage, application and annual demand. We can recommend suitable VFD models, parameter settings and OEM solutions.
